WASHINGTON, DC - October 1, 2026 - Glover Park Alliance, the nonprofit that operates Glover Park Main Street (GPMS) and Woodley Park Main Street (WPMS), today announced it has changed its name to Local City Collective (LCC).
The name change marks a significant milestone as the organization grows to serve two neighborhoods in Northwest DC. While the name is changing, LCC's mission, purpose, and staff remain the same.
"We are a proud operator of two DC Main Street programs, and we wanted our identity to reflect our work and the people who make up both neighborhoods," said Kate Dean, LCC's executive director. "It's a chance to reintroduce our work and the businesses in our corridors to the community. We hope people come out and support them."
The rebrand reflects the organization's growth from a single-neighborhood program to a two-neighborhood organization. Under the new identity, LCC will launch a new website at localcity.co, new logos, and refreshed Advisory Committees for each neighborhood.
